About Finnegan

Through no fault of his own, Finnegan (formerly Maroma) is back in our care after a year in his adopted home. Mr. Finnegan is a sweet and gentle boy that is looking for a healthy dose of unconditional love!

He is a very good boy being left alone, but loves to curl up next to his humans or on their feet any chance he gets. He is so calm and quiet inside you will forget he is there. He can often be found curled up in his crate with the door open, especially if there is nobody around to pet and cuddle him.

He is a bit hesitant meeting new people but quickly warms up and shows people his gentle, loving ways. He is also a bit slow warming up to dogs, but once he is comfortable he loves to run and play with dogs, especially if there is a ball involved!

In contrast to his calm and quiet demeanor inside, once he gets outside his inner kangaroo comes out, little hops and all! He is still working on his leash skills but making improvements – he is just so excited and loves long walks – but they don’t have to be on a beach, don’t worry. If you are a runner – he would love to be your running buddy too!

He is doing very well with potty training but has had the odd accident. He does know how to tell you he needs to go out – but sometimes waits too long to tell you and wants to go out urgently! He is making great progress with this though. Finnegan is the perfect balance of a soft, cozy cuddle buddy for those lazy days in front of the tv, and a perfect motivator to get you up and outside to get those steps in.
