*** Please note that we are NOT accepting applications for the dogs listed as Coming Soon. These dogs have either yet to arrive or have only just recently arrived. Once their foster families get to know them a little better, a detailed bio outlining their personality and describing their ideal home will be posted and we will then begin accepting applications for them. ***

About Precious

Precious recently arrived from Mexico and is settling into her new life as an indoor dog. She loves cuddling up next to her fosters and adores belly rubs. Precious is a big fan of napping and lounging around the house, and she especially delights in an afternoon siesta. She would make an excellent companion for someone who works from home as she is happy to lie at her fosters’ feet while they work on the computer or hang out with them in the kitchen while they cook. When Precious gets excited, she thumps her tail like a little beaver!

Precious really enjoys going for frequent walks and is great on leash. She doesn't pull and is a slow walker, but she does become more animated when she sees squirrels, birds, bunnies, and other critters outside. She is friendly when meeting new dogs, but she much prefers to seek out the attention of their owners and is happy to meet new people of all ages (unless they’re operating scary equipment, like lawnmowers and leaf blowers)!

Precious would thrive in a home with someone who is present more often than not since she doesn't enjoy being left alone for long periods of time (although she does eventually settle). For this reason, she would be better suited to living in a detached home without shared walls. Her adopter will need to continue working on her house training and crate training, although both have been improving with time, guidance, and a consistent schedule.

If you’re looking for a sweet and scruffy little dog that enjoys exploring the great outdoors as much as she loves spending a relaxing night in, Precious would be thrilled to meet you!
