About Twinky

Twinky is the very definition of a good boy and is as sweet as the snack cake he was named after! He loves everyone he meets, is super affectionate, and has excellent manners for a dog that has lived the majority of his life in a Mexican shelter.

Twinky is eager to make new canine friends and would be a great second dog. He really is an ideal companion for friends of the human variety as well, as he loves to go for walks (he’s great on leash and doesn't pull) and also loves to curl up in a ball and settle in for a nice long nap on the couch. He especially loves a good bum scratch while he relaxes! When Twinky can’t find anyone to tell him how cute he is, he distracts himself by playing with stuffies, which he takes good care of and doesn’t destroy.

Twinky is wonderfully crate trained and mostly quiet in the house. Although there are no resident cats in Twinky’s foster home, he has visited another home with dog-savvy cats and was very respectful of them.

Twinky’s easy-going personality means he’d likely fit into most loving homes, but we do think older children would be best since Twinky likes to “hug” and could accidentally knock over little ones in his ongoing quest for affection.
