About Nena
Nena is a shy and quiet girl but so sweet, gentle, and eager to please! From the moment she set foot on Canadian soil, she had some hesitant but friendly little tail wags for her new foster mom and enjoyed pets and belly rubs right away.
When she gets excited, Nena does the funniest little tap dance with her front feet, makes adorable little noises, and (believe it or not) she also smiles—it’s the cutest thing! Nena is great with the cats in her foster home, is very polite when walking on the leash, and enjoys being in her crate. She has only barked once since arriving from Mexico earlier this month, which makes her suitable for apartment/condo living, and she is totally quiet and well-behaved in the car.
Nena can be a bit nervous around new dogs at first, but when walking together with a new dog, she does really well, so a home with a small dog that is calm and confident might be beneficial (but not required) to encourage her to be a little more outgoing.
The bed is her favourite place in the world, and she loves to be cuddled up in warm blankets and pillows, so if you love to cuddle and nap, too, Nena is your girl!
Adoption Fee | $500
Adoption fees help cover the costs associated with rescues, such as vetting, boarding and transportation.
They also cover spay/neuter, heartworm testing and treatment (if necessary), rabies and DHLPP vaccines, and microchip.
