About Paike

Sweet and happy Paike recently arrived from a shelter in Mexico where he ended up after having been hit by a car. He had to have hip surgery as a result, but he has since made a full recovery and is more than ready to find his forever home in Canada!

Paike settled in right away with his foster family and loves to explore, and his fosters say that his tail is always wagging and he is very curious about everything around him.

Paike is eager to please and is quickly learning English commands. He is still working on his leash skills (he walks well but does a bit of zigzagging) and seems to think birds and squirrels are moving targets, but a little more basic training will have him walking like a star in no time!

Paike is a huge fan of belly rubs and is a wonderful snuggler. He absolutely adores curling up beside his fosters to relax and have a cuddle, but he also loves to run around outside in the yard and have fun!

Although his old injury doesn’t seem to slow him down at all, his adopter should continue to be mindful of his hips and prevent him from jumping from a height and protect him from slipping on slick surfaces.
