About Scout

Male | 1.5 yrs | 43 lbs | Brindled Shepherd mix

Scout is a handsome, medium-sized Mexican boy that ticks all the right boxes! Sweet, friendly, and playful, Scout turns heads everywhere he goes thanks to his stunning good looks. Is “tiger” part of his breed mix? We don’t know for sure, but we do know that he’s dog-friendly, people-friendly, house-trained, crate-trained, medium energy, and only just a little bit naughty (because no one’s perfect)!

Scout’s foster family is head over heels in love with him, and we think you will be, too! Scout loves to be loved and will happily be pet for as long as you’re willing. He likes having another dog around, but we think he’d be okay as an only dog as well. He has not been tested with cats, and if there are any children in the home, older kids would be better, simply because he tends to use his paws to communicate (especially when there is food involved that he’d quite like you to share—his foster is working on this with him). Scout sits nicely for treats and is very trainable! Since he is still a young pup, Scout loves chew toys and really enjoys his walks, but he’s also happy to settle down and relax in front of the tv.

Scout is a wonderful family dog that would suit almost any home environment!
