Dear hoomans,
My name is Buttercup. I am a ~4.5 month old domestic short-hair kitten with a purrfect balance of energy and zen. You may be surprised to know this, but I am part of the flower kitten litter; thus making me the only orange cat!
I am full of inquisition and would make an amazing addition to any household. I do take some time to adjust when meeting new people, but once I settle, you can pick me up and play with me!
In regards to toys, I love anything that moves, but the photographer who came to take photos of me brought my siblings and I some springs and a feather toy - both of which I immediately took an interest in! Sometimes, I accidentally put my toys in my water bowl, so I might need your help to get them out (sorry about that).
All of my siblings love me and when we aren’t running around and playing, we spend tons of time cuddling. With this in mind, I would love to be adopted with my brother, Lotus, but I understand if this isn’t possible. I would thrive in a household with another animal in it; that way, I can have a buddy that is not hooman.
I hope you love me as much as my foster parents do, because I am a lovable little man with plenty of purrsonality.
Luv,
Buttercup

Why We Love Fostering
-
There is a special joy in seeing the transformation from fear to trust in a foster cat’s face and posture, the first time they relax and warm up to me. There is so much comedy in a litter of crazy kittens, rollicking and tumbling, learning how to be big cats. Each foster kitty has been cared for as if they were my own, and I enjoy the confidence in the feeling that they are ready for their forever home. That is the biggest difference between choosing to adopt from a small rescue rather than a shelter, and why I love volunteering. People often ask me how I can be so strong to let such sweet kitties go to adoption, but the feeling that I have space to help another is worth the emotional goodbye. Penny is the twenty-first cat I have helped, and I am not going to stop anytime soon! Fostering for Pets Alive is by far the most rewarding volunteering I have ever done.
