BIO:

Hii! We’re Frankie and Grace - a very bonded pair of siblings! We were found in a box that was put on someone’s porch with our mommy, Lucy, but that hasn’t stopped us from having an amazing life.

Curiosity is a word that describes both of us, but Frankie definitely earns that title more, as he enjoys pondering the great questions of life like where does the water in the toilet bowl go when it's flushed? And what's just beyond that window pane? Grace, on the other hand, enjoys dark and quiet places to rest in the afternoon, but is the first to come running when you call her in the morning - especially for food!

We are lovers of attention - though we are shy at first. With a couple days to find comfort and adjust to the new environment, as well as lots and lots of love and attention when we are ready for it, we will quickly come around! We are also quite intelligent, as we invent our own games and play independently when our foster mommy is busy.

We enjoy a high quality diet, and are very healthy.

Basically what we’re saying is that we are the purrfect kitties for anyone looking to adopt not one, but two!

Why We Love Fostering

  • There is a special joy in seeing the transformation from fear to trust in a foster cat’s face and posture, the first time they relax and warm up to me. There is so much comedy in a litter of crazy kittens, rollicking and tumbling, learning how to be big cats. Each foster kitty has been cared for as if they were my own, and I enjoy the confidence in the feeling that they are ready for their forever home. That is the biggest difference between choosing to adopt from a small rescue rather than a shelter, and why I love volunteering. People often ask me how I can be so strong to let such sweet kitties go to adoption, but the feeling that I have space to help another is worth the emotional goodbye. Penny is the twenty-first cat I have helped, and I am not going to stop anytime soon! Fostering for Pets Alive is by far the most rewarding volunteering I have ever done.

Why We Love Fostering

  • Fostering is such a rewarding experience and works great for us as it is very flexible. We love seeing the difference in their personalities from day 1: from timid and nervous to a happy, healthy, better-socialized dog. It gives them time to decompress before going to their perfect home. Fostering enriches our lives knowing we are saving a life each time, and giving them a better life ahead. It warms the heart knowing you were part of this process.
