About Harumi

From Harumi's foster…

“Harumi is as sweet as they come, loves to cuddle and is always by your side. Her favourite thing is face kisses! An amazing walker who is happy to jog along beside you, however needs work on voice commands. Harumi needs about 3 seconds to figure out if you are a friend and then will be in your pocket. She is quite shy and timid of loud noises but once she is comfortable she is amazing. She would be best suited for a quiet family that doesn't want a high energy dog as her favourite thing to do is nap. Quiet, calm, low energy family who has lots of patience would be her perfect home. She has adapted well to new experiences like cars, parks, PetSmart so she could be an adventurer but would definitely rather be inside.”

Adoption Fee | $500

Adoption fees help cover the costs associated with rescue, such as vetting, boarding, and transportation.

Prior to adoption, dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and 4Dx tested, and they receive any necessary treatment. After adoption, they are eligible for one month of free pet insurance.
For more information about adoption fees, please review our Adoption FAQs & Fees page.

Why We Love Fostering

  • I love fostering because it's a great feeling knowing that I am helping dogs find their forever homes. Knowing that they are coming from shelters where they may never be seen, and helping them get adjusted to a home in Canada is an amazing feeling. Since I travel a lot, fostering allows me to get my doggie cuddles and nature hikes without the stress of owning one.

Why We Love Fostering

  • Fostering gives me the opportunity to share a journey with an animal who has no one else. Without people like me these dogs may not get a second chance at feeling safe and finding a stable, loving forever home. I remember each of them vividly and we have a special bond.
    - Cheryl & Debbie
