About Ella
Ella is the sweetest little girl! She has fabulous house manners and loves affection.
She is happiest when she is with her people. She’s content to curl up and sleep if you’re just hanging out or working from home (she sleeps under the desk at her foster’s feet all day), but she’s always ready to go for a walk or run around in the yard! She does the cutest little hop when she’s playing fetch.
She is a bit shy so new situations and new people make her a bit nervous. She warms up quickly to people and then is ready to give kisses and receive pets!
Ella lived with a 1.5 year old and was amazing with her. She was very sweet towards her. However, Ella does still jump and can get a bit hyper sometimes so she’d be better with older kids.
Ella shows separation anxiety. She will bark if you leave her alone, but she does settle. This is a work in progress and today she even chose to nap in another room by herself! She would probably not be a good apartment dog due to her barking.
She is good with other dogs and would do well in a home with other dogs to play with. Cats are unknown but she does have a high prey drive with cats and squirrels outdoors.
Ella is just a joy to have around and would be a great addition to most families! Her energy level is low most of the time but she’s happy to turn it up to high when it’s play time!

Why We Love Fostering
-
I grew up in an apartment where no pets were allowed. When I met my husband, he had a beautiful boy cat named Webster. He was such a good boy, he was so sweet and always sat between my legs. I treated him like my own. I had never felt the unconditional love that he gave me. When he passed away, I decided I wanted to give my love to cats unconditionally. My husband and my daughter agreed to be a foster family for kitties who needed help. I can't imagine a life or a home without cats in it.

Teddy and Lily came to me almost 10 years ago. Unfortunately, Lily is suffering from kidney disease, but Teddy takes care of her and watches over her to the best of his ability. I've said this so many times: They didn't need me, I needed them. Pets Alive Niagara is hands down one of the most loving, caring, involved, dedicated charities in the Niagara Region. If you are able to be part of this family jump on our band Wagon won't you? 🐾🎙.
