About Huey

Huey is a timid little boy that takes some time to warm up. Noises and fast movements scare him, but as he gains confidence, he will continue to overcome his fears.

Learning how to be on leash is a work in progress. It seems he’s never been on leash, so continued training is a must. The foster is currently working with him and he’s coming along well.

Initially shy with dogs, once he's comfortable, he plays very well with them! He would like and benefit from having another playful dog in his forever home. Also, shows little interest in cats.

A calm, quiet and gentle adopter that will continue training and work on socializing will be a good match for Huey.

Adoption Fee | $500

Adoption fees help cover the costs associated with rescue, such as vetting, boarding, and transportation.

Prior to adoption, dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and 4Dx tested, and they receive any necessary treatment. After adoption, they are eligible for one month of free pet insurance.
For more information about adoption fees, please review our Adoption FAQs & Fees page.

Why We Love Fostering

  • I have always loved animals and I spoil my own pets enough, so I figured "Why not try fostering?" That's when everything changed. I found that fostering is incredibly rewarding, because not only do you care and love each cat that comes into your home, but you get to send them to their furever homes and see the adopter’s faces light up when they meet them. Building the foundation of the kitties is what makes fostering such a wonderful experience. There is truly nothing better.
