About Dixie
Dixie is the sweetest little girl! She’s very calm and quiet. She will be your constant companion and will cuddle with you, once comfortable. She needs some time to feel at home. Needs encouragement to help overcome her shyness.
Dixie loves to play with her stuffed toys and will play fetch with them in the yard. Loves walks, but takes time to overcome noises, like cars.
She would do well with another low energy dog, but will do well in almost any home! Very shy, so will need adopters who have time and patience to allow her to become comfortable.
Adoption Fee | $500
Adoption fees help cover the costs associated with rescues, such as vetting, boarding and transportation.
They also cover spay/neuter, heartworm testing and treatment (if necessary), rabies and DHLPP vaccines, microchip, and one month of pet insurance prior to adoption.
For more information about adoption fees, please review our Adoption FAQs & Fees page.
Why We Love Fostering
-
We love fostering because the dogs bring so much love and joy into our home. Seeing them adjust to life in a home, come out of their shells and become their happy, playful selves is so rewarding. It's also a great feeling so see them got adopted by a home that will love them forever. The foster dogs also have a lot to teach us about resilience, adaptability, trust and unconditional love. They inspire us to be better versions of ourselves. If they can survive their histories while still being loving and happy, so can we.
