About Arkansas
Arkansas came from a hoarding situation in Texas with over 90 dogs. It has taken some time to adjust but is doing exceptionally well.
She loves dogs and would do best with a home with another dog. This little girl has become a love bug. She follows the foster everywhere wants to play often and loves to go for long walks!
Arkansas's leash skills are amazing. Apart from her love of high places, she is perfect! Her foster mom says she's part mountain goat!
With coming from a house with 90plus dogs we imagine that she was used to jumping on the table and counters as that's probably the only free spot. She is getting better with the off command.
Adoption Fee | $500
Adoption fees help cover the costs associated with rescues, such as vetting, boarding and transportation.
They also cover spay/neuter, heartworm testing and treatment (if necessary), rabies and DHLPP vaccines, microchip, and one month of pet insurance prior to adoption.

Why We Love Fostering
-
There is a special joy in seeing the transformation from fear to trust in a foster cat’s face and posture, the first time they relax and warm up to me. There is so much comedy in a litter of crazy kittens, rollicking and tumbling, learning how to be big cats. Each foster kitty has been cared for as if they were my own, and I enjoy the confidence in the feeling that they are ready for their forever home. That is the biggest difference between choosing to adopt from a small rescue rather than a shelter, and why I love volunteering. People often ask me how I can be so strong to let such sweet kitties go to adoption, but the feeling that I have space to help another is worth the emotional goodbye. Penny is the twenty-first cat I have helped, and I am not going to stop anytime soon! Fostering for Pets Alive is by far the most rewarding volunteering I have ever done.
