Delilah is a sweet, sensitive girl with a gentle soul who is still learning that the world can be a safe place. This affectionate Border Collie mix may be shy and anxious at first, but once she feels comfortable, she absolutely loves cuddles, pets, couch time, and playing with her sister Izzy. She thrives on routine, patience, and clear boundaries, and her confidence continues to grow more each day.

While nervous around new things, Delilah is often the brave one between the two sisters, cautiously exploring first and encouraging Izzy to follow. She enjoys chewing on Benebones, wrestling and playing chase with Izzy, and carrying around her beloved emotional support stuffy when she feels overwhelmed. She is quiet overall, friendly with new people, and happiest when close to her humans.

Delilah is still working on house training, leash walking, and managing her anxiety in unfamiliar situations. She can be a little mischievous and will happily investigate coffee tables for snacks if given the chance! She also dislikes having her feet touched and will need a patient adopter who understands nervous dogs and is willing to continue helping her build confidence.

Most importantly, Delilah must be adopted with her sister Izzy, as the two girls are deeply bonded and rely on one another for comfort and reassurance. Delilah is looking for a calm, patient home where she can continue to blossom into the loving companion she is meant to be.

Many of our dogs are adults that have never received any obedience training or experienced structure and routine prior to being rescued. Behavioural issues are common. Rescue dogs have often been through a lot of stress & instability. We emphasize the importance of routine and training in a positive manner without the unnecessary use of harsh leash corrections, rolling, pinning, or hitting. Do you accept this? *
