About Blue
Blue is available for adoption!
Female | 1 year | 65 lbs | Cane Corso
Blue is a 1-year-old Cane Corso girl with a huge heart, a goofy personality, and so much love to give. She may be a little shy at first, but once she decides you're her person, you get the sweetest, most affectionate love bug.
Blue is:
- House-trained & crate-trained
- Great on leash
- Great in the car
- Knows her basic commands
- Has worked with a trainer
- Loves walks, exploring and being outside
- Loves playing with other dogs when introduced properly
- Currently lives happily with an English Mastiff and a Pyrenees/Lab mix
- Smart, playful, loyal and incredibly loving
- Has no resource-guarding issues
Blue is a sensitive girl who needs time to trust new people. She tends to pull away from strangers and takes longer to warm up to men. But patience is rewarded — once she trusts you, her goofy, cuddly, loving personality comes shining through. When extremely frightened or overwhelmed, Blue can react defensively, so she needs someone who understands dogs, respects their boundaries, and is willing to continue building her confidence.
Her perfect home:
- NO CATS — Blue will chase cats and needs a cat-free home.
- Older children/teens only
- Someone home a good portion of the day
- A person/family experienced with large guardian breeds
- A calm, patient home willing to let her build trust at her own pace
She could be your one-and-only princess, OR have a compatible doggy sibling after proper introductions.
Why is she looking for a new home? Blue's current foster home was supposed to be her forever home. Unfortunately, there is a child with special needs in the home, and Blue and the child feed off each other's energy, creating situations where Blue becomes overwhelmed and has nipped. This isn't about Blue being a bad dog. It's about finding the environment where Blue can succeed.
She deserves a home that understands her, gives her time, continues her training, and lets her become the confident, wonderful dog we know she can be. Blue is not yet spayed or microchipped. She is scheduled to be spayed this fall. We're not looking for just anyone who wants a Cane Corso. We're looking for Blue's people. The people who will give her patience when she's scared, laugh at her goofy moments, take her on adventures, and love her for the sensitive, silly, incredibly loyal girl she is.
Adoption Fee | $600
